body trim

Powder coated trims have been glued into place.  We couldn't agree so the bottom trim - most likely exposed to dirt & muck is hammertone to match rear wheel carrier.  The vertical trim and roof trim is straight black to match the generally black trim of wheel arches, mirrors, rubber boot, and visble engine parts.

Ladies,
Truck looks good. The kickup at the rear and the black corners work well.
Couple of observations which you're probably already across:
- seal/silicone all holes especially through the floor eg around the water pipes above the tanks. Some of these will be very hard to access once built.
- heat shield components eg water tank and shock absorbers close to the exhaust, especially from the DPF forward.
- have John show you how to access fittings like water pumps to change filters etc
- the rear wheel carrier looks a bit light, gantry/ winch looks good but I'd be worried about the uprights carrying the spares on corrugations. Can this be unbolted to be beefed up if needed later?
- we have the same vinyl/foam arrangement on our camper, had the same concerns expressed about closing but all works fine. I assume there a scissor lift on the sides to help lift the roof with vinyl attached?
Cheers
G.
