Powder coated trims have been glued into place. We couldn't agree so the bottom trim - most likely exposed to dirt & muck is hammertone to match rear wheel carrier. The vertical trim and roof trim is straight black to match the generally black trim of wheel arches, mirrors, rubber boot, and visble engine parts.
2 of the 3 fresh water tanks have been installed. The 2 rear tanks (total 180?L) were custom made so the rear departure angle is not compromised (and not spoil the looks!). This did limit the size of the tanks. All with drains from the bottom of the tank to allow for emptying and cleaning.
The front left tank is a standard polypropylene tank of 100L. As it is placed forward of the main door, it can be a bit lower than the floor - not yet fitted but all the plumbing is in place. The Seagull IV water filter has been installed under the kitchen bench with stopcock to shut of water for filter change. The bracket also allows the body to be brought out for the filter change without shuffling around inside the cupboard. Not installed but we opened the box for our first look - then placed it in the truck to check out the ambience! The product seems to be very well made.
Hatch covers have been fitted and main entry door built. The main door is in 2 parts with an internal metal mesh infill that allows the door to be locked but with the ventilation screen open.
Summary Another visit after 3 weeks and again pleased to find steady progress with an end May finish date looking good. The big progress items this visit are:
