Stopped in Trondheim only as a point on the way to somewhere else.  Fortunately we did take some time to stop on a Sunday afternoon.  Unfortunately too late to see inside the Nidaros Cathedral.  This was built over the burial site of Saint Olaf  the King of Norway in the 11th century, who became the patron saint of the nation. It is the traditional location for the consecration of the King of Norway.  It was built from 1070 to 1300, made a cathedral in 1152 and taken over by the Lutherans in 1537.   The remainder of the old part of town was very interesting - more so than Bergen I think.
