Set off the next day towards Preikestolen - didn't make in one day and camped on a river bank. We were warned that it takes time to travel fairly short distances in Norway because of the roads. It was not surprising given our track through the mountains where most of the road was not wide enough to have a centreline. Travelled through lush green farmland and over mountain passes with snow banks higher than the truck. Had to stop once and pull in the passenger side mirror to get past another motorhome.
Along the road we descended through one valley - started at 720m dropped to 65m and then climbed back the other side to 790m - in 2nd gear doing all of 12kph.
